Overview
This is a university-structured course centered around using Solidworks to develop packaging systems. The objective of this course is to bring practice and application to the fundamentals tools of Solidworks, within the context of packaging. Access to Solidworks software is not included in this course – students are expected to have an active license to the software.

Objectives
- Learn the foundation and fundamentals to utilize Solidworks as it applies to packaging design
- Learn the main functions of Solidworks at an introductory level
- Apply teachings to create mockups of packaging substrates
- Complete assignments to further develop Solidworks abilities and implement course material across a multitude of sectors within the packaging industry
- Learn to generate assemblies to test the functionality of packaging designs
- Create simulations to understand how packaging designs will translate to real-world uses and performance
