Temperature Assurance Packaging Fundamentals

Interpret core principles of temperature assurance packaging and apply them to controlled distribution systems using guidance developed with Dr. Andrew Hurley and Sonoco ThermoSafe.

What you will learn

This one-hour course will enable students to understand not only the fundamentals but also advanced concepts of temperature assurance packaging (TAP) in order to: evaluate different TAP solutions as they relate to the needs of their company, contribute to conversations regarding TAP, and guide their organizations in the implementation of TAP solutions.

Course Objectives

Identify the purpose of temperature assurance packaging (TAP)
Describe why your cold chain has significant value
Comprehend industry terminology as it applies to TAP
Define relevant scientific principles and methods such as thermodynamics, heat transfer, and more
Review the materials and technology used in TAP and apply course teachings
Develop a foundational understanding of shipping and transit considerations
