We here at The Packaging School have been singing the praises of our packaging certificate programs and online continuing education for over five years now. A Cooperative Effort

One of the certificate programs we offer is The Certificate of Mastery in Packaging Management run in conjunction with the Clemson Center for Corporate Learning. This interactive teaching series guides organization leaders through a process of designing effective packaging systems. Students utilize their creativity, actualize cost-savings for their company, and develop complete packaging systems during the twelve-week course. Ten online courses and a packaging development plan (PDP), which applies the teachings of the coursework to a current project, work hand-in-hand to create a superb learning experience. All lessons are on-demand, so students can log in and learn at the time that best suits their schedule. You pay $7,000 for 80 hours of content, 10 courses, and 8 CEUs—and payment plans are available. As a bonus, this program is monitored by a knowledgeable PhD who is available for questions and calls.

Don’t Just Take Our Word for It

Something many learners tell us they appreciate about our programs is the flexibility. We understand that many of you have very full lives with family, work, and extracurricular activities that keep you busy. One learner said, “The flexibility to do my own schedule was awesome because I was able to look at what sections there were for the week, and then I would schedule out my week ahead of time based on my availability and what was required.”  

Designed with You in Mind

A strategy that ties into the need for flexibility is the way we choose to structure the individual lessons. We design most of our content as microlessons which enhance the adaptability of the program to the student’s needs. Microlessons are typically eight to ten minutes in length, offering the learner the advantage of concise and to the point information that can be fit into small breaks throughout the day. Of course, sitting down and catching up for a few hours at a time is an option too, but not all of us have that disposable time in large chunks. Speaking to this point, a learner noted, “I really liked the microlessons you laid out. In the past, going to lectures for hours and hours, that didn’t work well for me. So, I really appreciate the classes where you could dive in for ten to fifteen minutes—really focus on those microlessons, and that was excellent.”

Packaging is Everywhere

The packaging industry is vast. There are multiple facets, and most people study and are proficient in their specific cog of the wheel without much knowledge of what goes on to make the industry function as a whole. Our CMPM program tackles that issue to give you a broader, holistic view of packaging. Two different students said they appreciated this aspect of our program: “I didn’t study packaging design . . . but I got a really good overview of what it takes to create packaging from start to finish,” and “I studied industrial engineering . . . I think the certificate exists to get a more detailed view on the supply chain because you lose your focus . . . you just focus on your own tier one suppliers or suppliers of this and you forget about the whole supply chain.”
